GORE-TEX is being talked about everywhere, and whether GORE-TEX is good or not has already been debated from multiple perspectives. In any way, it is an outstanding outdoor material. However, some people in China have already reached a level of superstition towards GORE-TEX. In fact, many other materials for submachine jackets are on par with GORE-TEX in terms of performance. In addition to GORE-TEX, the fabrics available on the market include DUIT, OMNI TECH, Memo Tex, POWER-TEX, HYDRA-DRY, WEATHERTITE, etc. These fabrics are all waterproof and breathable.
There are many people asking how to identify GORE-TEX, and here I have my own secret technique, which was told by a friend of mine. The real GORE-TEX series products leave a black mark on their coating with a hard object (such as a nail tip), which feels like a scratch. The common occurrence of this phenomenon is GORE-TEX, but the cost is that you have to damage your love clothes. Hehe!
When we talk about fabric, we refer to GORE-TEX, which mainly refers to the layer of film inside the outer nylon fabric, also known as coating, not the entire fabric. As for the outermost layer of nylon cloth, there are those with and without grids. Generally, the tear resistance of the grid is better because the grid uses stronger fiber fibers. Riptop is a good outer layer material.
Another key aspect of a submachine suit is the adhesive strip, which is used to press the seams on top to prevent water leakage. Genuine products undergo strict waterproof testing when leaving the factory, and the adhesive strip usually does not leak. But the submachine jackets we wear, as mentioned earlier, are generally fake and do not have strict inspection procedures, so there are cases of water leakage, but generally not many. This is a process issue. Good adhesive strips are breathable, but non breathable adhesive strips do not have a significant impact on overall breathability.
The lining of the assault suit is also made of breathable material, usually coolmax, mainly to enhance sweat conductivity and warmth retention. The light assault jacket is made of Reticular fiber, which does not stick to the body. There are also types that do not require lining, such as three layers of laminated adhesive and two layers of semi laminated adhesive. Three layers of laminated adhesive directly press a layer of breathable material inside the waterproof breathable film to protect the breathable film from wear and tear.
There are also some accessories, including zippers, bayonets, Velcro, and so on. The zipper of a submachine suit usually uses YKK zipper, and there is definitely a problem with using fake YKK zippers for submachine suits. Do not buy them. YKK zippers can be purchased domestically, so accessories are no longer a very important issue.
